The advantages of using barcode labels

Barcodes come in many different types and are not just pre-printed onto the packaging of goods for sale.
One type of commonly used aftermarket barcode is the barcode label. Barcode labels are available in many different materials with different types of adhesive backings. They even come in different colours, shapes and sizes.

Aluminium barcode labels

If you need a durable label, aluminium is a good choice. The barcode that is printed onto an aluminium label can withstand the rigours of an industrial environment easily. They can also cope with high levels of heat, wear and tear, chemical attack and abrasion from constant use. These labels are perfect in warehouses, where operatives may have to scan them numerous times throughout a product lifecycle.

Polyester barcode labels

If you don’t need a barcode label to be quite as durable as an aluminium barcode label, polyester is a good alternative. A polyester barcode label has its image printed under a layer of tough plastic so it can’t be rubbed off. These labels also benefit from having a strong adhesive backing so can be securely fixed to a host of different substrate materials.
