Some ideas on a new product label

If it has been decided to introduce a new product, maybe give a facelift or slightly change the formula of an existing one, the all important label is that first thing that your customer will see on the shelf or display counter. Labels provide a wealth of information, it is usually the way your product is seen by the potential customer, and it has to tell them what it is and how to use it as well as giving other vital information.

It is possible that your marketing department has decided on the font or style that is to be used, possibly this is to match advertising or the style used in other company products. Colour is another important thing for you to choose, it may be straightforward and in keeping with your company colours or other products, but it is worth giving this thought as some colours on a label can have a negative effect.

The logo adopted by your company is an important part of the label and do not be put off by detractors who may suggest that it takes up valuable space. Your company logo on its product label is incredibly important. It associates the product with your organisation, whether it is your first product or one of many. Remember that when a customer is scanning lots of products on a shelf or display, if your logo is familiar, it will be the one that they buy; also your logo continues to work for you even after the product is purchased as it sits in the home of the buyer

How To Make Eye Catching Products

You are walking along a supermarket and looking at the array of products on the shelves, what do you see and what catches your eye? It could be a particular brand name, or familiar colour on the label, what is a reasonable assumption is that it will be an eye catching design, even if it is a brand that you are looking for, manufacturers do like to ring the changes, whilst at the same time keeping their image and familiar logo.

When you are considering a label for a new product, or redesigning a label for a product that has been produced by you for many years to be eye catching, great it is important to select colours and fonts that are easy to read and consistent with the message that you are trying to convey. Different colour combinations can produce a variety of different effects and you have to consider how the product will be displayed and the speed at which potential customers will be viewing your product.

The label should be kept simple and readable; too much information can have the opposite effect that you are trying to convey. Colour is important, marketing studies suggest that red letters on a yellow background is the most eye catching, due we are told that yellow is the first colour the brain distinguishes; suggesting that it is the most eye catching. However which colour you choose for your label will have to fit with your brand image.

Metal Labels

There are many situations that call for a label which will withstand the rigours, harsh environments and handling which could damage labels which are produced from materials such as polypropylene, vinyl, polyester, or paper for example. Aluminium labels are one of the most durable and can be the answer to harsh conditions and rough use making them perfect for warehousing, pallets and asset labels.

They are manufactured from high quality anodised aluminium sheets which are cut to eight standard sizes of your choice size and can be customised for your requirements to display any, logo or image, barcodes, text, to suit the product. These aluminium labels are perfect for use as pallet labels, floor labels, and stock bin labels as well as asset labels.

Anodised aluminium labels differ in the way that they are printed and specialised anodising technology allows most imagery to be transferred from print management software to the aluminium with accuracy and high resolution to ensure first time accurate scanning ensuring a single scan is achieved on the first attempt. Barcodes, Barcodes & More Barcodes

Barcoding your product, asset or package can save your organisation time, money, increase productivity, make keeping control of stock easier; in fact it is hard to contemplate what we all did before the advent of the barcode. Depending on the product, or item which the barcode is to be attached to, will largely determine to a large the type of material and life span of the label that will be needed.

For assets within the company, lifespan is all important and these will need to be printed on a material that will withstand hard usage, aluminium tags would be ideal for this these are durable barcode labels and they will last for many years.

Barcodes enable automated work processes, in addition to the time saved on internal and external tracking, barcodes provide a valuable opportunity to improve operations in ways that translate into significant savings and increased income over time. Accuracy, affordable rates and speed are some of the reasons why barcode labels are immensely popular among manufacturers. Many organisations use barcode labels to identify and track their inventory.

Not only do the different types of barcodes differ in the way that they may look, they give different types of information. The barcodes that look like picket fences are 1D barcodes, examples of which include UPC, Code 128, and Code 39. Others are rectangular and look like crossword puzzles; these are referred to as 2D barcodes. QR barcodes scanned with Smartphones are a popular 2D barcode symbology, we will be happy to advise you the type suitable for your particular use.

Get Noticed With Car Window Stickers

Putting a label onto the rear window of a car before it leaves your showroom is a valuable source of advertising. Of course the proud new owner could remove it, but how many actually do? The car that you have just sold with the name of your organisation displayed will be seen by other motorists at traffic lights or simply following at a safe distance behind. But it is when the car is parked that it will be most prominently on display telling the passing people that your garage is out there selling cars.

Car window stickers can advertise your showroom as well and it will need to be on the inside and be of a semi permanent nature, not easy peeled off when cleaning the window for example. We can also supply you with a label that can be attached to the windscreen of the car and easily removed when the car is sold and possibly used for another car. The labels can be as large or as small as you want, produced in a wide variety of shapes and in full colour matching the in house colour scheme.

Quantities will not present a problem as we can supply a batch of 100 to get the process under way if it is a special advertising campaign on your forecourt, or larger quantities for advertising on the rear window of the car, just tell us and we will get you a quotation and your window stickers in as little as four days if you wish.

Peel & Reseal Labels

There are many instances when a label is needed that is not permanently stuck to the product, for example for CD’s and DVD’s, glassware, windows, tables, ornaments and polished steel; they can be supplied in many shapes and sizes and are available in sheet form if required.

These labels are often described as multi-ply which means that they can be peeled open and resealed like a small booklet. This is why they used to be called book peel, because as their name suggests, they can be easily removed from the product after sale, also sometimes super peel or easy peel, the adhesive is special and is designed not to leave any residue behind on the product.

They are particularly useful if the item is being bought as a gift, as the label can be removed, they come in plain or printed form, in both full colour or black and white. One of the many advantages to peel and reseal labels is that they can be opened and resealed many times without affecting adhesion.

The product that they are to be used for will determine what material they are to be made from, this can be in either paper materials or synthetic materials for more challenging applications, synthetic materials for example are ideal for products that may be intended for the bathroom and the material is moisture and scratch resistant and well suited to dealing with difficult and harsh environments.

Our labels can carry the information on alternate pages, that is 1, 3, 5 etc., and this can have data on a QR code if required, ideal if a solution to limited space is needed.
