Finding cheap barcode labels

If you look at any product packaging you are sure to see a barcode label. Barcode labels are an easy way of product identification and are used by retailers as a way to price items and keep stock records.

The majority of barcode labels are usually printed directly onto a product’s packaging. However, barcodes can be printed onto an adhesive label and then this label stuck onto a product or part. This way of barcoding items or stock can be particularly useful in large warehouses or distribution centres where great numbers of stock items may be kept certain areas around the warehouse and records of there locations need to be kept.

After-market barcode labels can be stuck onto a product weeks, months or years after a product has been manufactured and prove an excellent way of keeping track of stock whilst also improving inventory control. These types of barcode can be pre-printed and come on long rolls. Their adhesive backing allows them to be stuck on any product or product location you wish, so they can be scanned easily using a standard barcode scanner.

Barcodes don’t just have to be printed on paper either; they can also be printed on substrates such as polyester and aluminium, making them the perfect tool to use in retail, commercial and industrial sectors.
